Maybe it’s time to make a move? Have you ever said to yourself “man, I need to get away”?
Well, what if you’re “get away” was the beach?
And what if the beach was at your footsteps?
Florida can offer that to you! With miles and miles and miles of coast, the hardest decision to make is whether you want to live on the Atlantic Ocean side or the Gulf of Mexico side.
While moving is always kind of the worst, Bekins Moving Solutions are here to help you get it done! The professionals take all the stress out of upheaving your life and bringing it to a new landing spot. All you need to do is pack it up and head to your new place on the beach!
It’s fun to say right?
Florida has more to offer than nutty people (see some of the other stories on this site, haha) and beaches. For one, they have Major League Baseball Spring Training. Winter Haven, Florida and surrounding parts, is home to the Grapefruit League of the MLB.
The MLB Spring Training is a great opportunity to catch all the big leaguers as they prepare for the season. The players — and the teams — are more accessible and at a more affordable price point that usual.
Not to mention, a lot of teams share facilities, so you can also take advantage of two-for-one tickets where you get to see both teams games with only paying the admission price for one.
In addition to early baseball, Florida is also home to some of the best amusement parks in the country, most notably Walt Disney World Resort. The supplement to 1955’s Disneyland in California, Walt Disney World opened in 1971 and has been entertaining millions of people each year across it’s 25,000 acres near Orlando, Florida.
Universal Studios is another theme park in Florida that is worth it to visit. Designed as a theme park and working production studios, the park entertains more than 10,000,000 people per year. That’s good for the 9th most visited theme park in the world. Impressive, right?
How about just enjoy your retirement?
A lot of people from Northern and Midwest states flock to Florida during the cold months. That’s another option. Maybe you don’t want to make Florida your full time residence. That’s fine. I can’t argue with the logic either. Autumn in the midwest is something everyone should experience. The summers too are desirable. Perhaps more desirable than even Florida, thanks to the humidity.
In addition to getting out of the cold, health can improve if you improve the climate with which you live. Staying in the cold during the winter allows for more chances to slip on ice, get snowed in or even get in an accident. Many older folks also report the their arthritis subsides to a tolerable level when they reach the sandy beaches of Florida in December.
So whatever the reason, give Florida a shot. If you like beaches, baseball, theme parks, warm weather or just beautiful, relaxing scenery, you’ll find your second home in Florida! Do a simple search for your wants, needs and questions and if the website you land on has utilized Ignite Digital, they’ll be on top of the search engine!
